Dr. Brown is a native of Dickson County, born youngest of 4 children of Claude and Margaret Brown. He grew up on a dairy farm located between Dickson and Charlotte, graduated high school from Charlotte High School and David Lipscomb College and dental school at The University of Tennessee Center for Health Science in Memphis, Tennessee. Upon graduation in 1977, he and his wife Melissa (daughter of Henry and Frances Heard of Charlotte) moved back to Dickson to begin practicing dentistry. After working as an associate of Dr. James Rountree for 4 years, he began his own practice located at 300 East College Street. Four years later, he moved to 102 Hwy 70 East and remains at this location.
Dr. and Mrs. Brown have three sons (Jared, Joseph, and Luke) and one granddaughter, Corinne. They are members of the Walnut Street Church of Christ where Dr. Brown serves as an elder.
Dr. Brown loves his profession and continues to enjoy learning new procedures and improvements of existing techniques. He enjoys working with his associate Dr. Ben Cannon and his loyal team, many of which have been working with Dr. Brown for many years. The good relationship enjoyed by the team is very conducive to a warm and peaceful environment for dentistry. That is one of the reasons that Dr. Brown never dreads coming to the office (it doesn't seem like work)! When he is asked how long he plans to practice dentistry, he replies, "I love dentistry more than ever, and I don't plan on retiring as long as I am able to deliver excellent care"

Dr. Cannon has been practicing general dentistry in Middle Tennessee since 2001. Born in Boston, MA, he received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1994. A 2001 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Memphis College of Dentistry, Dr. Cannon migrated to Nashville where he now lives with his wife, Keri and two children Abigail and Charlie.
A member of the Nashville Dental Society, The Millennium Study Group, and the American Dental Association, Dr. Cannon is also an active member of the Tennessee Dental Association. He has served on the council on Dental Education, Practice and Health and as a current house delegate representing the Nashville Dental Society. Dr. Cannon has continued his education after dental school by attending hundreds of hours of post-graduate education. His dedication to continuing education has allowed him to study with some of the top clinicians in the country, which has allowed him to stay at the forefront of dental technology.
Dr. Cannon is committed to the care of underserved families and individuals in the local Dickson communities through the Interfaith Dental Clinic and he is actively involved in a Nashville based ministry that works to provide homes for AIDS orphans in Zimbabwe.
