Regular brushing is recommended twice daily – after breakfast and before bedtime.
It is important to remove plaque (a sticky film of food and bacteria) daily, before it hardens into calculus or tartar. This can happen in as little as 24 hours. Once tartar/calculus forms, your toothbrush or floss won’t budge it. Retained calculus/tartar is the main cause of gingivitis and periodontal disease.
In addition to daily brushing, daily flossing is important. The same plaque and bacteria, which you remove by brushing your teeth, is present between your teeth as well. The bristles of a toothbrush are simply unable to reach between the teeth to adequately clean this area.

Remember, you only have to floss the ones you want to keep ----- think about it!!
